TYPES OF SIGNS
Today most sign permits require a visionary drawing of the sign and any signs not mounted to a wall require a licensed civil engineer certification of wind load factors be included with the permit application. Florida Sign creates the visionary drawing in house and partners with experienced Florida civil engineers to ensure that each and every sign we produce meets or exceeds all of the requirements for public safety.
Signs in Florida are designed differently from signs in other parts of the country. Florida sign construction and installation is unique. For example, signs in other parts of the country are designed with 10-foot deep footers. In many parts of Florida, the water table is barely below ground so different designs must be used to stabilize the structure. That’s why we partner with experienced Florida engineers.

CUSTOM CHANNEL LETTER SIGNS
These letter signs are wall mounted and can be either on a raceway (connecting the letters) or individually mounted to the wall in any design or font.
LIGHTED CABINET SIGNS
Typically this is a wall mounted and lighted sign with florescent tubes. The frame is custom cut aluminum.
POLE SIGNS
This is a bare pole rising from the ground with a cabinet sign on top. It can rise as high above the ground as you like, given local zoning codes.
PYLON SIGNS
A Pylon Sign is like a pole sign in construction, but the pipe is covered to make it appear more contemporary and one continuous structure.
MONUMENT SIGNS
These signs are freestanding, low to the ground, no more than 10 to 15 feet. They are mounted on a cement base. All wiring and anchoring is hidden.
NON-ILLUMINATED SIGNS
These signs are typically any letter signs or cabinet signs that have no illumination or digital display such as wayfinding signs.
LED SIGNS
LED Signs allow frequent changes of messages to maximize the messages the sign can send. Typically, the LED digital display units are an integral part of the sign.
